What Findora measures
Findora uses first-party analytics to count page views, anonymous browsing sessions, catalogue filters, privacy-safe search-result counts, clicks on fixed internal guide suggestions and outbound clicks that open Amazon.ca or Canadian Outlet. It also counts buying-guide share-button use and, for the current visibility sprint, accepts only a short fixed list of campaign-source labels such as Reddit, Facebook, Pinterest, email or WhatsApp. A buying-guide size checker may record the selected bag mode and only the coarse result—within or outside the published size box. Entered measurements are never sent or stored. Findora also skips known automated browser checks when a reliable automation marker is available. These signals help us understand whether visitors find useful products.
What Findora does not collect
The analytics system does not intentionally store your name, email address, ChatGPT account, full IP address, device fingerprint, raw search text or full referring URL. Internal guide-click events store only a fixed placement label, never the search text. Findora does not use an advertising cookie or sell analytics data.
Anonymous session identifier
A random identifier is kept in your browser's session storage so events from one open tab can be counted together. It is not tied to an account and disappears when that browser session ends.
Privacy signals and retention
Findora honours Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals by skipping client-side analytics. Raw event records are automatically removed after 90 days. Aggregate business reports may be retained for longer without visitor identifiers.
Retailer destinations
When you open a retailer link, that retailer's privacy and cookie practices apply. Findora can see that an outbound link was clicked, but cannot see what you purchase. Amazon Associates is the source of truth for eligible commission. Canadian Outlet links are non-affiliate and earn Findora nothing.
